Your age in days is the total number of calendar days between your date of birth and today. It is not simply your age in years times 365, because roughly every fourth year is a leap year with an extra day. Over a lifetime those leap days add up, so the true figure is a little higher than the shortcut suggests.

Real-world example

Someone who is exactly 30 has lived about 30 × 365 + 7 or 8 leap days ≈ 10,957 days — not the flat 10,950 the simple multiplication gives. People often celebrate fun milestones like their 10,000th day (about 27.4 years) or 20,000th day (about 54.8 years).

Why days, not just years

For newborns and infants, days and weeks are the natural unit — "47 days old" is far more meaningful than "0 years." The calculator counts actual calendar days for an exact result.
